Bird Feeds

We can supply an extensive range of the Bird Feeds. All our Feeds are sourced from Birdcare Standards Association (BSA) Suppliers and other reputable sources to ensure the feeds we supply are to a high standard.

We can supply the full range of the Gardman Bird Feeds as endorsed by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) and the (BSA). Gardman Feeds are Produced and Sourced to BTO guidelines. The Gardman Range of feeds are generally only available in Bulk/Large Quantaties.

We have recently added a Soft Foods section to supplement the dry foods range.

A selection of live Mealworm and Waxworm are available in the Live Foods Section. These are shipped directly from our breeders to ensure they arrive in top condition.

Please note that Bulk/Large Feed Orders are only available for Collection from Lincoln or York by prior arrangement.

	Description : Oil-Rich, the Thistle Seeds are a magnet to finches, particularly Goldfinch.

	User Comments : In early 2002 we started putting out Thistle Seed in our Garden in York. We hardly ever had Goldfinch in the garden prior to that. In 2003 we have captured and rung over 120 Individual Goldfinch with BTO rings and have only had 4 recaptures. We regularly get a dozen Goldfinch feeding at a time with a peak of 26 recorded. We believe we have had in excess of 250 individual Goldfinch visit the garden this year alone. Not Bad for a City Garden only 30x20 feet !!!

	Description : The larvae of the Tenebrio molitar Beetle. Waxworms

	Description : Larvae of the Waxmoth Galleria mellonella and 15-25mm in length. The Waxworm are specially treated with a completely natural process to inhibit pupation and aid storage. They are reared on a diet of honey and wheatgerm making them highly nutritious. They are plumper and softer skinned than Mealworm and make a good alternative for feeding to the bird, especially during the spring and summer.
