Since the Mid 1980's we have been carrying out Bird Ringing on a voluntary basis for the British Trust for Ornithology. This has primarily been through the Bird Ringing and Nest Records Schemes. Since 1997 Bird Ringing has been carried out as part of the Huddleston & Jackson Bird Ringing Partnership operating in the York Area.

Our main area of expertise is in the supply of Bird Ringing / Bird Banding Equipment to Licensed Bird Ringers through a dedicated and continuously expanding Ringing Equipment section. Other items that you may find useful for Bird Ringing, Outdoor or Home use in the Accessories and Equipment sections.

We manufacture a majority of the traps ourselves. This enables us to manufacture bespoke traps to customer specifications and modify our current products to suit your needs. Over the years we have taken traditional trap designs such as the Spring Trap and made improvements to make the traps more effective. One of our main aims when designing traps is to make them Light Weight and Portable. As a result our Duck Traps, Potter Traps and Chardonneret Traps all fold flat. Our Sectional Traps have also been developed with the same requirements.

Our latest development is the Modular Trap (Coming to the Web Site Soon). Again, it is light weight, portable and folds flat. The Modular Trap is primarily designed as a Multi Funnel Trap (Similar to an Ottenby Trap) that can be configured to maximise catching potential. Used with baffles, this design will be suitable for shorebirds and wildfowl along a waters edge.

In additional to all of these traps we have a wide range of Mist Nets and Decoy Birds available.

Over the years we have also used hundreds of Nest Boxes to Replace and/or Supplement Natural Nest Sites. The designs of the boxes have been tried and tested to varying degrees with improvements made to make monitoring easier. We can now supply a wide variety of these Nest Boxes for large and small customers alike. Further details of each box can be found in the Nest Box section. This now also includes Bat and Dormouse Boxes.

Flat Pack Nest Boxes are also available for self assembly. Ideal for Educational Projects where the use of Power Tools etc. would be a concern.

All Items may be collected from either Lincoln or York by prior arrangement, or sent by Courier/Post.

In order to keep Postage and Packing cost down, on receipt of an Order Enquiry, each order requiring Delivery will be calculated based on the Order and any Specific Delivery Requests .
